The people who brought you the Small Manufacturing Alliance is pleased and excited to announce a new collaboration with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Exhibitions in 2020:

We are opening a new store called Buddy, which will feature Chicago-made objects and products from artists, small manufacturers, and makers for sale at the Chicago Cultural Center in our new permanent location in the Garland Gallery.

Currently you can find the items at the Community of the Future Market at Marz Brewing every Sunday.

Buddy is a shop, a hub for making connections between friends we have and those we have yet to meet. We are committed to giving artists and small manufacturers in Chicago a place to showcase and sell their goods and artworks to a vast audience of Chicagoans and visitors at the Chicago Cultural Center. Through exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances, readings, and product launches we will work to bring the creative output of our city’s neighborhoods to the city center for visitors and locals alike. Buddy is a place that introduces the world to the people making it happen in Chicago – a place that helps them create a sustainable world where we all work, live, and play.
